ANNUAL PLAN

The CPRA will submit an “Annual Plan” to the Legislature for the upcoming fiscal year during the regular legislative session during each year in which projects contained in the state master plan for coastal restoration and hurricane protection are studied, designed or implemented. The Annual Plan will be first submitted to the House and Senate Committees on Transportation, Highways and Public Works before being voted upon by the full legislature pursuant to R.S. 49:213.6 as amended and R.S. 38:241-248 consistent with legislative intent and with the policy developed by the CPRA.

The Annual Plan will outline a specific list of projects that will be the priority for the CPRA to develop or begin implementing and constructing during the upcoming fiscal year including the approximate costs for each project. The Annual Plan will also detail how projects planned by the state will work in concert with other restoration efforts being funded with money from the Coastal Impact Assistance Program (CIAP) and the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act (CWPPRA) as well as projects planned and designed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The Fiscal Year 2011 Annual Plan is available for viewing by clicking the following links. The plan will be submitted to the Louisiana Legislature for consideration in April 2010. Please note, the document is a large file and may take several minutes to download.
